As the impact of COVID-19 continues to unfold, this timely report examines valuable models of success as well as missed opportunities from prior moments of disaster. In early 2020, Amalgamated Foundation examined community-led disaster responses from the 2017 Hurricanes Harvey (Houston), Irma (Florida), and Maria (Puerto Rico). The insights from this work provide valuable lessons to inform and strengthen collective response to the pandemic.
